This presentation will provide a systematic approach to answering the essential question: How can a manufacturer maximize customer input into product development? After 10 years of advancing assistive technology, the Rehabilitation Engineering Research Center on Technology Transfer (T2RERC) has developed a consumer-based process to insure appropriate input to the development and refinement of product research and development. This interactive process provides both qualitative and quantitative information on functions and features of a product, as it progresses through internal evolution. Learn how to run fully accessible heterogeneous focus groups that blend the needs and opinions of consumers, care providers and prescribers.
